of West Sweden- Monthly Meeting
September 20, 2016
Meeting was called to order by Simon Nelson at 6:30 pm. Members present
Scott Wilder and Glenn Meier, supervisors; Kevin Taylor, patrolman, Phyllis
Wilder, clerk, Brenda Tesch, treasurer.
Public input: None
The minutes to the August meeting were presented by the clerk. The board thanked the clerk for the report.
The financial statement for August
was presented by the treasurer. The board thanked her for the report.
Employee report: Kevin
reported that Amish are building a school on 310th Avenue and had called
Simon asking for culvert. Discussion on providing a culvert, reviewed culvert
policy #2015-1 that it is for residence only. There is 150- 200 ton of crushed
rock remaining from chip sealing that is the property of Scott Construction. The
dump truck for 9 months, Kevin will take it to Meyers in Cameron to have
serviced.
Unfinished Business –
A. Update
on chip sealing/ road projects: All Chip sealing is complete. Monarch is due to come in the first of October to do
the work on Old County Rd W and Clam Falls Drive. Scott Construction will be
doing the patching on 180th early October.
B. Consider/adopt Just Fix it:
Simon made the motion to adopt the
resolution, no second was made, and motion dies.
New Business

A. Review
budget items: Discussion on budget for next year.
B. 135th
Street:
Discussion to have a resolution to abandon the road, will be on next month’s
agenda
C. Salt
Sand: Kevin will get prices on salt/sand for 2017,
discuss at the October meeting.
Correspondence: None
Review bills/vouchers: Supervisors
reviewed bills and approved payment of checks # 16672-16686 and the ACH
payments.
