Town of West Sweden- Monthly Meeting
February 16, 2016
Meeting was called to order by Simon Nelson at 6:30 pm. Members present
Scott Wilder and Glenn Meier, supervisors; Kevin Taylor, patrolman, Phyllis
Wilder, clerk, Brenda Tesch, treasurer, Tim Anderson, Polk County Zoning. Motion
to move old business before public input and employee report made by Scott
Wilder, 2nd by Glenn Meier, carried.
Glenn Meier recommended adding what we will do with old dump truck.
The minutes to the January meeting were presented by the clerk. The board thanked the clerk for the report.
The special meeting notice should have read 2015 not 2016.
The financial statement for January
was presented by the treasurer. The board thanked her for the report.
Public input: None
Employee report: Dump
truck doesn’t have a lighted area to run the sander, Kevin got a quote for $400
to install the appropriable light.
Signage for the new truck quote from Air World, $75 per door, will go
with tree design. We put 75.6 hours on the truck we used from
Laketown, they want $40 per hour for usage, and no invoice has been received
yet. MSHA training is going on Feb 23 at Crickets in Amery. Burnett County is
holding one later this spring, will attend the one in Burnett County.
Old Business:
A. Review Polk County Zoning: Tim Anderson from zoning explained the
different zoning options available. Board will proceed with review the map and
make any recommendations as needed.
B. Old Dump truck: Glenn will
get a quote from Meyer Sales as to what they would give us for the truck as is.
New Business:
A. Update Municipal Emergency
Plan for county: Review emergency plan and made changes for of officials and
phone numbers.
Correspondence: February 17th
at 9:15 am a public hearing will be held at the Polk County Government Center
on the proposed Amended Polk County Shoreline Zoning Ordinance.
All bills approved and paid.
Next meeting will be March 15, 2016 at 6:30 pm.
