Public input:  Walter Schommer represented the Schommer family that lives around Diamond Lake on 150th Street sharing their concerns of the speed at which people driving through that area.  Walking in that area is a safety concern for them. They would like to see the speed limit changed to 45 mph on 150th from 360th to 345th . Walter had talked with Steve Smith of the Polk County Sheriff’s department and Steve had told him that all the town would need to do to change the speed limit was to fill out a form and the county would enforce the speed limit.  The county would also put up a machine that would flash the rate of speed a vehicle is going.

Lori Lundquist added that many townships in the area have posted 45 mph speed limits.

The board stated that they would investigate the process and discuss at the next board meeting.
