The treasurer presented the monthly report.   The town board thanked the treasurer for the report.

Public Input:  None.

Old Business: A. ATV/UTV ordinance: Line was stricken from the ordinance in Section VI: A. re: Memorandum of Understanding.  Scott made a motion to adopt the ordinance for ATV/UTV usage in West Sweden.  Glenn 2nd . All in favor, motion carried. Ordinance will be posted and printed in Leader for 23rd of January.  Ordinance will be in place 30days from posting.  We will send to Polk County Sheriff’s Department and DNR.

Employee Report: A. Loader*(amended 2/19/13) got a flat tire.  Pomps came and filled the tires with a sticky substance that “heals” nail holes in tires.

B. McKenzie Supply is no longer in business. Kevin was going to take the disk off for repairs and bring it to McKenzie.  Kevin will try Kay Friberg or Leonard Knauber.

C. Bob Carlson bought a long arm mower from the McKenzie closure.  He would like to do mowing for the town.  The board will take this into consideration in the future.

D. The dump truck has broken springs on the driver’s rear axle.  Stokes came and looked at it and recommended replacing both springs as well as a new tie rod.  The repair would be about $1300 for the springs, plus labor with Stokes.  Stokes would need both Kevin and Ron to help with completing the repairs.  The board would like Kevin to look into someone that would be able to do the whole repair without Kevin and Ron.  He will check with Truck and Trailer regarding the repair.  The dump truck also has holes developing in the box.  Kevin will look into welding the holes and see if that helps.

E. A salesman also came from Wausau with information regarding a new dump truck.  The estimate for a 2013 with sander, plow, and wing arm was $137,000.  This is for informational purposes only at this time.

F. Near Harlan Owens residence there is a beaver creek that has a culvert clogged about 2/3 full.  Kevin will keep an eye on it as it could damage the road.
